Ohio Auditor

Medina County Property Tax

If you do not agree with the appraised value established by the Auditor, you have the right to file a complaint with the Medina County Board of Revision once every three years after the Auditor reappraises your property. You need to file all required forms with the Auditor between January 1 and March 31. The forms can be obtained from the Auditor’s office. Your complaint will be heard by the County Auditor, Treasurer, and one Commissioner, who are the members of the Board of Revision.

According to Ohio Law, you should pay the taxes before the tax payment due date. Homeowners who do not pay the taxes within the required time frame will owe a penalty (within 10 days after the due date: 5% of the amount due; 10 days past the due date: 10% of the amount due). Interest will be calculated and added to the bill.
