About the Property Appraisal
The Trumbull County Auditor is responsible for making a mass appraisal to get fair and uniform market values of all properties for tax purposes within Trumbull County. The market value is what the property would sell on an open market. In order to ensure the accuracy of the appraisal, the Auditor collects data in many ways, including field verification, sale/value information submitted by the homeowners, local auction results, pictometry or aerial photography, and Multiple Listing Service data verification. If you disagree with the appraised value determined by the Auditor, you have the right to file a complaint with the Trumbull County Auditor’s Office.
