Portage County Property Tax
There are a great number of ways that you can pay the property taxes described as below.
Pay in Person: You can pay your property taxes in person at the office of Portage County Auditor. Cash, personal checks, credit/debit cards, or a verified payment (cashier's check or money order) are accepted at the office.
Pay Online: To pay online, please visit the website.
You can make a one-time payment or set up an account that allows you to claim parcels and sign up for e-billing and text alerts.
Pay by Phone: Please call 1-844-399-6189 and make a payment according to the instructions.
Pay by Drop Box: A drop box is available for you to pay taxes after hours, which is located outside the main entrance of the Portage County Administration Building, 449 S. Meridian St., Ravenna. There is also a drop box on the office counter which allows you to pay taxes during regular business hours.
Pay by Mail: You can pay your taxes by mail using a personal check or verified payment (cashier’s check or money order). Please do not mail payments in cash for security reasons. Credit or debit cards for payments are not accepted by mail. The mailing address is Portage County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1217, Ravenna, OH 44266.
Please note that convenience fees will be charged if the payments are made by credit/debit cards or e-check. For credit cards, 2.39% of total payment ($2 minimum); for Visa/MasterCard debit cards, $3.50 per transaction; for electronic checks, $0.95 per transaction.
